Dear Member,
RE:EXPANSION OF MEMBERSHIP COMMON BOND
Further to the resolutions made in the Annual General Meeting held on 26th March 2022, the Board has reviewed the current common bond model to allow those not within the hospitality industry to become members of the Sacco either as individual or group/institutional contributors. This will allow the Sacco to tap into new opportunities while reducing over-reliance on the hospitality industry.
Consequently, the Sacco will henceforth draw its membership from the following categories and any others that may be approved by the Board from time to time:
1. MEMBERSHIP BY NATURAL PERSONS
a.) Individuals introduced by Sacco members. These will include members’ spouses and children who have attained the age of 18 years, other family members and friends.
b.)Employees of organizations that have signed an MoU with Kentours Sacco, regardless of the industry in which they operate.
2. INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP
- Registered Investment Clubs (Chamas).
- Corporates
- Registered Community Groups
i. Self-help/Welfare Groups,
ii. Residents Associations,
iii. Trade/ Professional Associations,
iv. Sports/members Clubs,
v. Churches.
We are rolling out a recruitment drive from 15th August 2022 to 31st December 2022 targeting the above categories of potential members and offering the following incentives to our Sacco members who introduce new members during the period:
Membership Category | Minimum Members/Groups | Compensation per New Member/Group |
Individual Members | 1 Member | Ksh. 1,000 per new member |
Registered Groups/Institutions | 1 Group/Institution | Ksh. 3,000 per new group/institution |
New Employer Units (To sign MOU with the Sacco on Check-off Deductions) | 10 Members | Ksh. 500 per member joining through the employer |
For accountability, we have reviewed the membership application forms to include details of the Sacco member who recruits new member(s). The Incentives will be payable after the recruited member has paid Sacco contributions for 2 months.
Kentours Sacco Unit Representatives, Board, Supervisory Committee and staff members are not eligible for the incentives scheme.
Please contact the Sacco office for any clarification.
Thank you
